Kosovo Police raided the Kosovo and Metohija Red Cross facility at Gazivode
Today, members of the Kosovo Police raided the facility of the Kosovo and Metohija Red Cross, which is part of the International Red Cross.
A search is currently underway, being conducted by one part of the Kosovo Police, while another group remains outside the building.
The search is being carried out without the presence of the Red Cross security staff, who were not allowed to enter.
This facility is located at Lake Gazivode in the Municipality of Zubin Potok.
The Kosovo and Metohija Red Cross is engaged in providing training for natural disaster situations, as well as conducting humanitarian work.
This organization carries out voluntary blood donation drives for the needs of the Clinical-Hospital Center in North Mitrovica, as well as for the Clinical-Hospital Center in Gracanica and the Health Center in Pasjane.
Unlike the Kosovo and Metohija Red Cross, which is under the umbrella of the International Red Cross, the Kosovo Red Cross is not a member of this international institution.
A few days ago, Kosova Press wrote about the Red Cross facility, stating that it was previously presented as a Center for Ecology and Sports Development, which was opened by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The agency claims that “behind this innocent name lies a surveillance post, a weapons depot, and a base for terrorist activities.”
