Inspectors with police in North Mitrovica premises are requesting documents of registration in the Kosovo system

Inspectors accompanied by Kosovo police officers today visited establishments on the promenade in North Mitrovica, during which they requested workers to provide them with documents proving their registration in the Kosovo system.

According to employees in these establishments, the inspectors asked them to provide proof of their operating permits.

"They asked us for a document stating that the company or establishment is registered in the Kosovo system. They said that the owner should report to the municipality of North Mitrovica and is obliged to register the company, and they mentioned some amount of 30 euros, but we didn't understand why they were asking for it," some of the workers told us.

When our team asked the inspectors to comment on the nature of the operation, they briefly stated that they were not authorized to provide statements but that it was a verification to determine if the companies were registered.
