The Mayor of North Mitrovica, Erden Atiq, has announced that the deadline for four Serbian institutions to vacate the building in the Bosniak Mahala neighborhood, where they operate, had been postponed by two weeks, as reported by Dukagjini.

"The deadline is being extended by two weeks. Today, the inspectorate will inform the parties that the deadline is postponed by two weeks," Atiq stated.

Local authorities in North Mitrovica had requested a few days ago that the municipal building located in the multi-ethnic Bosniak Mahala neighborhood be vacated. This building houses the offices of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Directorate of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the Kosovo-Mitrovica District Office, and the Center for Social Work in Vucitrn.

Representatives of Mayor Erden Atiq informed the employees on Tuesday "that they must leave their workplaces and vacate the building within a three-day period."
