The President of the municipality of Strpce, Dalibor Jevtic, pointed out that the Draft Statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities could only be relevant if it came from the Management Team, which was composed of the Serbs from Kosovo, as mandated by the Brussels Agreement, and that the cancellation of the Donors’ Conference for Kosovo and Serbia was one of the mechanisms of the international community, which aimed at the final formation of the CSM.

Jevtic, on the occasion of drafting the Statute of the CSM by the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, points out for Kosovo Online that all well-intentioned advice is always welcome, but that the signed Brussels Agreement must be respected.

"All well-intentioned advice is welcome, but what the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija expect is that the Brussels Agreement is respected, and the Brussels Agreement very clearly states that only the Management Team composed of the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija has the authority to propose the Draft Statute, and that is the only which is relevant. Of course, from that side, we also expect that what was signed be finally respected both by Belgrade and I emphasize Pristina, regardless of who is the Prime Minister in Pristina," Jevtic said.

The obligation of the Government of Kosovo, says Jevtic, is to honor the agreement as agreed.

Commenting on the cancellation of the Donors’ Conference organized by the European Commission, Jevtic stated that it was one of the mechanisms of the international community aimed at the final formation of the CSM.

He believes that this is a clear message to Pristina.

"Pristina is the one that did not initiate the formation of the CSM, and on the other hand, I expect the representatives of the EU and the international community to be specific in what they said. That is, what I personally could hear at the meetings I attended; if Pristina does not initiate the formation of the CSM, they will initiate mechanisms that will allow the CSM to finally be formed, and on the other hand, without entering into potential "sanctions", all that the international community can use as mechanisms. Precisely through those processes, and those mechanisms produce results that will enable the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija to finally receive guaranteed rights that will enable a normal life for every Serb and Serb woman, whether they live south or north of the Ibar River in Kosovo and Metohija," Jevtic said.
