Jevtic: Kurti drew a target on my house; I will sue him before the Court in Strasbourg
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti called and labeled a large number of the Serbs as "terrorists" and "criminals", including Rajko Jevtic, claiming that "his house is a base for the leaders of illegal organizations", and Jevtic states for Kosovo Online that in this way, a target was drawn on him and that he intends to sue Kurti before the Court in Strasbourg.
Rajko Jevtic says that he has nothing to be ashamed of and that he has worked honestly all his life, as well as that he has never chosen people based on nationality, religion, or language in his work.
"Today, a target was drawn on my house by Prime Minister Albin Kurti. For the sake of truth, I can tell you that I have a clear conscience, and those intended statements of the Prime Minister from Pristina did not touch me much. It touched me as a human being because I am one of the people on the list, I'm embarrassed for my Albanian friends because I don't want them to get the wrong impression. I'm a businessman and a sports worker. I also went to the south, visited Decani, Patriarchate of Pec, Gracanica... I went to Bosniak Mahala a million times, I supplied with goods there," Jevtic says.
However, Rajko says that in this way, each of the participants of any gathering can be accused.
"Just as the prime minister of Pristina accused me, he can sue any of us. At every meeting I was present, I never wore a mask or had anything to be ashamed of. Together with our people, we are seeking our legal rights and we will persevere in this," he says.
Jevtic also announces a lawsuit against the Prime Minister of Kosovo.
"We will seek the support of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija to sue Prime Minister Kurti in Strasbourg for such allegations. Without any proof, even though he is the Prime Minister, without a trial, he drew a target on us," Jevtic points out.
Jevtic previously even worked for the commission for the selection of local leaders in the village of Boletin, where the recently appointed mayor took the oath, I never had any problems.
However, Jevtic was most struck by the fact that his son was also on the list.
"You filmed the house that Kurti presented as the Crisis Headquarters where we gather to carry out terrorism. My son is a car repairman, he works at “Narodna Tehnika” and this is an additional source of income for him to feed his family, everyone can be convinced that Kurti's words are a false story," Jevtic says.
Rajko's wife Tanja says that she is shocked and does not know what to expect nor can she concentrate on anything since she heard the news about her husband and son and that their house was marked as a target by Albin Kurti.
"I don't know what to tell you, what to think about, instead of thinking about nice things, I'm worried about my husband, children, and our whole environment after this situation. We never had any problem. Our family, Jevtic, is an honest and hard-working family, my husband and I and our children have lived here all our lives. I raise children and take care of them, and instead of looking forward to beautiful things, this is what is happening to us," Tanja says.
She says that their life has changed a lot after the news from Pristina from the parliamentary session reached the Jevtic family, despite everything, she says that they are staying in their house and will never leave it.
"I can't believe what happened today. A target was drawn on my house, my husband, and my son. My son is a sheet metal worker with honest work; he is a sheet metal worker and has nothing to do with, as Kurti called him a terrorist. This is a normal family and I really don't have peace right now", when asked by a journalist if she had thoughts of leaving, she said that they were not thinking about it.
"No, no, no, and no. The answer is no. Here we stay, here we will live, and here we will fight. All together and all united, we don't have anywhere else to go," Tanja said.
In front of Jevtic's house, we also met their neighbor Aldo Baldini, who says that the only thing that has been noticed happening around Jevtic's house is tidying up the yard.
"I am here near the neighbors. I have seen these days two lawnmowers and a trimmer and a rake, nothing more and no one else. All this brings unrest; in the same context my brother's grandson who is undergoing treatment in Belgrade is also mentioned. Of course, I'm scared because someone mentions us in this context," Jevtic's first neighbor says.
