Jevtic: We will not give up living here, we don't have a problem with the Albanian people, but with Kurti

The Mayor of Strpce, Dalibor Jevtic, addressed the gathered citizens today at the Vidovdan gathering in Gracanica, stating that Serbs do not have a problem with the Albanian people but with the regime in Pristina and Albin Kurti, and he called on the international community to hear the Serbian people.
"Here today, as we have done before since Kurti came to power, we peacefully protest and call on the international community to hear us. We call on them today to understand, because as the days go by, the terror of the current regime grows stronger. What is happening is Kurti's policy - to make Serbs disappear from these lands. But with this gathering, we send a message that, despite all challenges, we will not give up living in these territories. I want to convey that we don't have a problem with the Albanian people; our problem is with Kurti and his regime in Pristina. Our unity is our greatest strength," Jevtic stated.
Jevtic read the Vidovdan Declaration to the attendees, which was also read at the Vidovdan gathering in North Mitrovica.
"On the eve of Vidovdan, when everything becomes visible, and when every word spoken becomes a vow, we, the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, declare that if the oppression of our people continues, we will be forced to respond to all those who wish us harm, those who dream of war instead of peace, and we will be united in our just fight for survival and the defense of our homes and families on these lands," the fifth and final point of the Declaration states, read by Jevtic.
