Kadrijaj: The health sector in Kosovo has never been in a worse state
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Deputy Time Kadrijaj says that it is not a priority for the Kosovo Government and Prime Minister Albin Kurti to develop any sector, not even the health sector, but to appoint party activists to high positions, Reporteri reports.
Kadrijaj stated this on the occasion of appointing Arben Vitia to the post of Minister of Health for the third time.
"The health sector in Kosovo has never been in a worse state. Arben Vitia left the post of Minister of Health when the health system was in chaos to run for political office. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Health was without a minister for several months, and now Vitia is back for the third time. In Kurti's Government, you can find a person who was the minister of health three times, and not even three times successfully," Kadrijaj notes.
She adds that the situation in the departments of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo is not good.
"The approach of the ruling party has gone so far that the activities of health workers are monitored in detail on social networks and then called by phone to remove their posts and comments," Kadrijaj says.
She emphasizes that citizens and patients suffer because of such a situation and that a large number of health workers leave Kosovo.
"We have a delay in health services, the waiting list is long, and essential medicines are missing. If this situation continues, there will be no new employment, and those employed in healthcare will leave the system and move to the private sector or go abroad," Kadrijaj says.
