Kasolli: Kurti yielded in all crises so far, showed political amateurism
Former deputy of the Self-Determination Movement, Afrim Kasolli, says that Prime Minister Albin Kurti causes crisis situations himself in order to emerge as the winner in the end, Ekonomia online reports.
Kasoli says that Kurti has followed a double strategy in the last events in the north of Kosovo.
"If we look at Prime Minister Kurti's actions so far, he followed a double strategy, he maintained the rhetoric of not surrendering, harsh rhetoric, but practically in all the crises he has faced so far, he gave in, so he can appear before public opinion as a hero and leader who did not make compromises and did not give up even in the face of pressure from the international community and Serbia's demands. But on the other hand, it practically means giving up because that's what compromise is," says Kasolli.
He emphasized that Kurti has so far shown political amateurism, so there is no strategy for dealing with problems.
"Until now, he has shown political amateurism, which means there is no strategy, no clear vision, with all the crises that Kosovo is facing, they have not shown a long-term vision of how they see it and what is the project of concrete ways to get out of this situation, either with unemployment, or with agreement with Serbia, with the management of all types of crisis. We didn't have the opportunity to see concretely their vision of dealing with the crises that Kosovo society is going through and the will of young people from Kosovo to emigrate, we didn't even see a reaction to stop it," he said.
Kasoli said that if Prime Minister Kurti is forced to sign an agreement with Serbia, he will reject it, which will lead to early elections.
"Everything is possible, if Kurti considers that he cannot manage this situation, elections can be held as well as the possibility of creating a joint government with all political factors in order to jointly lead an eventual agreement with Serbia. So, not only from rejection, but if Kurti agrees to sign this agreement, elections can be held to create a government of national reconciliation, I tentatively call it a government of unity so that all relevant political factors in parliamentary life take responsibility for a possible agreement with Serbia," he adds.
The former secretary of the Social Democratic Party, Nol Nushi, says that he does not believe that we can go to extraordinary elections, because, as he says, Kurti will sign everything that is asked of him.
"Kurti would sign everything that is in front of him, as he has done so far, and he will do so in the future. Kurti does not keep the promise he made against the dialogue, nor the promises from today to tomorrow, because we are witnesses, we have license plates, elections in the north were delayed and Kurti's condition was not met either. Even the barricades were removed in cooperation with those who were called criminals in the north," Nushi said.
Nushi said that the crisis that Kosovo was facing had been caused by Kurti himself because he wanted to come out of the whole situation as a savior.
"It is problematic because he causes crises that he then wants to solve and come out of them as a savior. Kosovo does not need crises, it needs solutions to problems, but they have neither the knowledge nor the partners to solve them. Therefore, causing crises deepens the problems because we know that the establishment of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities is just around the corner, which Kurti will certainly do," Nushi said.
