KFOR: We continue to support the EU-mediated dialogue
KFOR continues to support EU-mediated dialogue as the only means to achieve irreversible and lasting stability and calm tensions in the north of Kosovo, according to KFOR press release.
As KFOR points out, the commander (General Ristuccia) of this mission remains in close contact and coordination with all domestic and international interlocutors, including representatives of institutions in Kosovo, UNMIK, OSCE, EULEX and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army.
"KFOR welcomes all multinational efforts undertaken to bring both sides back to the negotiating table and calls on all parties to move towards de-escalation and to refrain from provocative actions that are against the interests of all the people of Kosovo. The NATO-led KFOR mission remains alert and fully capable of fulfilling its mandate to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo, according to UNSC Resolution 1244 from 1999," the statement reads.
