The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that when it came to Kosovo, everyone in the world knew who wanted war at any cost, stressing that Serbia did not want it and that many difficult situations awaited us in the coming period.

Vucic, answering the questions of journalists in Valjevo, where he attended the opening of the factory of the German company "Hansgrohe", said that he was almost certain that the "Westerners", due to increased tensions in the north of Kosovo, would come with their draft Statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, which would not have anything for the Serbs.

"I expect a lot of pain in the coming period, but it is not new, the nervousness is because of Ukraine and we are to blame for everything," Vucic said.

When asked to comment on the fact that the Kosovo Police and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti claimed that the municipal building in North Mitrovica had been attacked with two hand grenades last night, and for which they "pointed the finger" at Serbia, Vucic replied with a counter question "is that the same like the one with the weapon found in the car in front of the Zvecan Municipality building, within easy reach of NATO and the Kosovo Police".

"Days before that, we informed the international community what they were planning, reported to the world services what they wanted to do. Everyone in the world knows who is trying to escalate the situation, everyone knows who wants to play war, and who sends those who shouldn't even exist according to Resolution 1244 - the so-called Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), who wants to escalate the situation," Vucic said.

Speaking about KSF, Vucic says that "besides having black glasses that make them dangerous, in South Mitrovica, they didn't even know how to march".

He pointed out that Serbia did not want war and that it had always done its best to preserve peace.

"Serbia does not want escalation, but they also know that everything has its limits. We did our best to preserve peace; we are ready for compromises. It's a nice word, like a conversation, not holding a grudge,'' President Vucic said.
