Kollar and Stefanchuk with Orlic: Slovakia and Ukraine support the territorial integrity of Serbia

The President of the Serbian Parliament, Vladimir Orlic, met today in Prague with the heads of the parliaments of Slovakia and Ukraine, Boris Kollar and Ruslan Stefanchuk, who once again confirmed their positions on respecting the territorial integrity of Serbia.

According to the statement of the Serbian Parliament, the head of the Slovak Parliament, Boris Kollar, said that "Slovakia will never recognize Kosovo”.

Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that Ukraine respected the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia as a matter of principle.

"We also clearly communicated this at the time of the attack on your country in 1999," Stefanchuk told Orlic, according to the announcement.

As stated in the announcement of the Parliament of Serbia, Orlic met with his colleagues from Slovakia and Ukraine on the sidelines of the two-day Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of the European Union Member States in Prague, which was attended by the Speakers of the Parliaments of the candidate countries for EU membership, as well as the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

Orlic told the interlocutors that "Pristina continues to openly threaten any dialogue, for more than 10 years it refuses to fulfill the obligation to form the CSM, terrorizes the Serbs every day and organizes 'elections' in Serbian areas without any participation of the Serbs".

"For all his misdeeds, he seeks and receives rewards, the last of which comes in the form of a candidacy for membership in the Council of Europe," Orlic said.

On the occasion of the meeting with Orlic, Stefanchuk also announced that he hoped "that Serbia would join the international coalition, to support the struggle of Ukraine", in a post on Twitter.

In Prague, Orlic also met with the President of the European Affairs Committee of the Senate of the Republic of France, Jean-Francois Rapin, whom he also informed in detail about the current state of the European integration process and the difficult situation for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

Rapin pointed out the importance of traditional friendship between the two countries and two nations and confirmed support for Serbia's European path.

The presidents of the parliaments of the EU member states stated in the conclusions of the Conference that the need had been recognized for the EU and its member states to continue to proactively and decisively support the European integration process of the Western Balkans, with clearly defined deadlines for admission to membership, after the implementation of reforms and the fulfillment of the necessary criteria.
