Kosovo Ministry of Defense: Military alliance agreement takes immediate effect

The Kosovo Ministry of Defense told RTV21 that the agreement will be implemented in accordance with the needs of the armed forces of the three countries and their national interests.
Building defense capabilities and the defense industry, increasing interoperability through education, training, and exercises, enhancing commitment to combating hybrid threats, and strengthening strategic stability and policy coordination for Euro-Atlantic integration are the four key points of the military alliance declaration between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia.
“The trilateral declaration signed between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia is the first of its kind in this region and is of particular importance. Besides paving the way for close cooperation in defense, it also enhances security, as unity in defense sends a strong message to anyone who might threaten peace and stability in the Western Balkans, as well as the security of the signatory countries. The agreement takes effect immediately, in accordance with the requirements of the Kosovo Security Forces and the armed forces of the respective countries, as well as national interests based on strategic development,” Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Liridona Gashi said to RTV21.
The declaration on defense and security cooperation was signed a day earlier in Tirana, in the presence of the defense ministers of Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia.
