The Kosovo police in Merdare banned Patriarch Porfirije from entering Kosovo

The Kosovo police at the administrative crossing of Merdare did not allow the car with the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije to enter the territory of Kosovo, where he went today, despite yesterday's letter from Pristina that he was not allowed to stay.

The patriarch stayed in the car for a few minutes on the side controlled by the Kosovo police, then turned around and went back to Kursumlija.

How scandalous this decision of the authorities in Pristina is it is also shown by the information that the Kosovo government, in its email yesterday informing the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church that he was not granted entry into Kosovo and Metohija, demanded that he distanced himself from the Serbs at the barricades, as a condition for his stay in Kosovo.
