Kosovo Police raided a market and warehouse in Leposavic
According to the Deputy Chief of the Kosovo Police for the Northern Region, Veton Elshani, the ongoing search is related to the inspection of goods.
Kosovo Police officers entered a warehouse in private ownership in Leposavic at around 2 pm today. According to our information, a search is underway, and several plainclothes individuals are near the warehouse, which belongs to a businessman from Leposavic.
The warehouse also houses the "Tomovic" market, and several police jeeps are parked in front of the premises.
According to the Deputy Chief of the Kosovo Police for the Northern Region, Veton Elshani, the ongoing search is related to the inspection of goods.
"Due to suspicion that the warehouse contains goods smuggled from Serbia, a search of the facility is underway. The Kosovo Police is assisting customs officers in verifying whether there is any merchandise in the warehouse without valid documentation", Elshani stated.
Two days ago, Kosovo Police officers entered the hotel and spa complex "Rajska Banja" in the town of Banjska in the municipality of Zvecan, expelling the workers, and the Kosovo Privatization Agency took over control of the complex.
