Kosovo police intervened today against two Serbs during the Vidovdan commemoration at Gazimestan, near Pristina. One attempted to enter the site with a Serbian flag, while the other was stopped for carrying a plastic toy gun.

According to Indeks Online, Kosovo police immediately detained the man carrying the plastic gun.
Kosova Press reports that, after confirming the object was not a real weapon, the man was allowed to proceed through the area where the Vidovdan event was taking place.

The other man, who was found to be carrying a Serbian flag during a police check, was not permitted to enter.

At this moment, the memorial service (parastos) for the fallen Serbian heroes of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo is being led at Gazimestan by Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, joined by several bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

In addition to a heavy presence of Kosovo police officers, the area is also being monitored by drones.
