Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti congratulated Albanians on the Day of the Kosovo Security Force and stated during the central celebration of this event at the "Adem Jashari" barracks in Pristina that the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) was the successor of the KLA, Dukagjini reports.

Kurti emphasized that the Government had so far sent 3,459 soldiers and officers for training abroad, and the Kosovo Government had doubled the military budget.

"The Government of Kosovo has more than doubled the budget for the Ministry of Defense in less than three years, tripled investments in weaponry, and more than quadrupled the training and education of our officers and soldiers abroad. In less than 32 months, we have sent 3,459 soldiers and officers abroad. At the same time, it is clear to us that the KSF is the successor of the Kosovo Liberation Army", he stated, Dukagjini reports.

He stated that citizens should look to the future with a positive view of the state.

"This is a day of joy when we simultaneously commemorate the memory of those who sacrificed themselves, but at the same time, we move towards the future with optimism because we know how secure we are with our army", Kurti concluded.
