Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti said today that Kosovo should be happy because the Government does not depend on the Serb List, otherwise, there would have been a motion of no confidence by now, Koha reports.

Kurti defended his approach to the dialogue with Serbia in front of the members of the Parliament, emphasizing that the citizens voted en masse for a new approach to the dialogue.

"What unites us politicians is sovereignty and territorial integrity. The citizens voted for a new approach to dialogue. If we were like the previous governments when they depended on the Serb List, there would probably be a motion of no confidence, but now a big change is happening and that is not possible. We should be happy that the Government does not depend on the Serb List, that we are independent of illegal structures that aimed to destroy the country," Kurti said.

Kurti emphasized that the resignation and withdrawal of Serbs from institutions had been done politically, as well as that their return could not be done by political invitation, but professionally, through an open competition.

"Their resignation was political. Every resignation letter had the same text. They all resigned for moral reasons. Where there is a vacancy, it must be filled through an open competition. Those who want those jobs should apply professionally," Kurti said.
