Kurti: My position on CSM has not changed, the Constitution does not allow it

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said at today's session of the Parliament that the dialogue with Serbia had never been more transparent than now and that the Government was careful to preserve the confidentiality of the talks. He also said that he did not change his position on the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, Reporteri reports.

"As far as the CSM is concerned, my position is known and clear. I have nothing new to say about the question, which I have answered countless times, because the question is old. The agreement, of course, did not pass the test of the Constitutional Court, which declared it unconstitutional," Kurti said.

As he said, from the very beginning, the Kosovo government was transparent both to the public and to the opposition leaders with whom it held talks.

"I don't think it's fair to say that transparency is zero. You ask, I answer, in the parliamentary committees as well. I had a meeting with the leaders of the opposition parties, where we also discussed the Franco-German proposal. On the one hand, I stick to the transparency of the process, but on the other I stick to the conversation's confidentiality," Kurti said.
