Kurti in Paris on CSM: There are no more concessions to Serbia, we will not divide Kosovo along ethnic lines

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said at the Peace Forum in Paris that Kosovo will no longer offer concessions to Serbia by dividing it along ethnic lines, reports Reporteri.

Kurti said that in the process of normalizing relations with Serbia, Kosovo is ready to "lend a hand to the country that committed genocide".

"Kosovo has started the process of normalizing relations with Serbia in 2011 and 11 years later relations are not much better than a decade ago. And there is a reason for that because Serbia has failed in its democratization and is looking for more conflict than cooperation, even glorifying war criminals instead of condemning them. I'm afraid that Serbia these days is neither democratic nor independent", Kurti said.

He added that it is a regime led by "the Orthodox Church and dominated by Putin's Russia".

"Kosovo is looking for neighborly relations with Serbia, and we are ready to extend a hand to the country that committed genocide against us, if they are ready to release their fist. What we no longer offer are concessions for the division of our country along ethnic lines. But, if Serbia is not ready to recognize us because they said so, five other EU countries have nothing to wait for", Kurti said.

According to him, the ICJ announced that Kosovo did not break the law by declaring independence.
