Lajcak: I am closely monitoring the developments regarding the CBK decision that affects the Serbs in Kosovo
Special Envoy of the European Union for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, stated that he was closely monitoring the developments regarding the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo on cash transactions, which particularly affected the Serbs in Kosovo.
Lajcak, summarizing the past week on Facebook, recalled that he had had discussions in Belgrade and Pristina about the current situation and the next steps in the dialogue.
"We talked about the dialogue, and we also touched upon the current state of EU-Kosovo relations. Detailed discussions with leaders and chief negotiators on both sides were timely and important, allowing us to express our expectations for the coming months and discuss what we will work on. We are monitoring events, focusing on the current dynamics of the normalization process. In this context, I am closely following the developments regarding the recent Regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo on cash transactions, which particularly affects the Serb communities living in Kosovo," Lajcak said.
He added that this week he was traveling to Florence, where he would deliver a lecture on the Western Balkans at the European University Institute.
