Mandl: South Tyrol example can serve for CSM

MP of the People's Party of Austria in the European Parliament, Lukas Mandl, believes that the example of South Tyrol can serve Kosovo when it comes to the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, as reported by Reporteri.

"First, Kosovo must have full control over its territory, which is very important for peace. Regarding the CSM, I want to mention one good example, which is South Tyrol. I'm not saying that this model can be copied point by point, but it can serve as a good example for Kosovo," Mandl said.

He also pointed out that the Franco-German plan was a good basis for dialogue, but also that the process made sense only if it ended with mutual recognition.

"It is very good that the Franco-German plan is being discussed, at least something concrete is on the table. Dialogue makes sense only when good relations are established between the two countries, and that should be done through mutual recognition. It is the only way this dialogue process would make sense," the Austrian MP said.
