Mojsilovic with Ulutas: KFOR is the only legitimate military formation in Kosovo
Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic, met with KFOR Commander Major General Ozkan Ulutas to discuss the security situation in Kosovo.
The meeting also addressed the implementation of joint activities between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR to monitor the situation on the ground, prevent crises, and counter the spread of disinformation.
“Highlighting that the Serbian Armed Forces fully adhere to the Military Technical Agreement, General Mojsilovic once again emphasized that KFOR was the only legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija. This is in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement, which do not recognize any other forces beyond international civilian and security presence in the province and the security forces of the Republic of Serbia“, the statement from the Serbian Armed Forces says.
Mojsilovic expressed the expectation that KFOR would fully and impartially implement its mandate, promptly respond to any attempt to jeopardize the security of citizens, primarily the Serbs, and protect the Serbian national, cultural, historical, and religious heritage in the Kosovo region.
"Ulutas is in Belgrade at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, and such high-level meetings, which are regularly held, are an important precondition for effective cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR in improving the security situation on the ground and ensuring the safety of the Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija", the statement added.
