The Ministry of Defense of Serbia strongly denies the statements of Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla, in which the Serbian Army is accused of involvement in the events in Banjska and connections with "terrorist groups".

As stated in the Ministry of Defense's announcement, the Ministry vehemently rejects the lies presented today by Albin Kurti and Xhelal Svecla, especially those in which the Serbian Army is baselessly accused in a defamatory manner of involvement in the events in Banjska and connections with nonexistent "terrorist groups" allegedly planning an incursion into the territory of the self-proclaimed state of "Kosovo".

"We emphasize that the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army operate exclusively in accordance with their legal competencies. Therefore, it is an outright lie and complete nonsense to claim that the Serbian Army's training grounds are used for the training of any units other than those of the Serbian Army and occasionally the Ministry of Internal Affairs and that there are any plans for an 'attack' on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija", it is stated.

As they add, in the absence of any constructive solutions leading to the establishment of peace and stability in the territory of Kosovo, Kurti and Svecla, like broken records, continue to repeat lies that no serious actor in the international community believes or will believe.
