Political analyst Artan Muhaxhiri believes that the visit of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to Kosovo is very important from two aspects. First, it shows that Kosovo and the region are of great importance to NATO, which, he says, is good for the stability of the region. The second aspect is related to US President Donald Trump's announcement to reduce the number of American soldiers in international missions, which will undoubtedly affect the KFOR mission.

"The KFOR mission currently has around 4,700 members, of which 600 are from the United States. If President Trump decides to reduce this number, I believe there must be a Plan B. I believe that the highest levels already have a plan and that it will be shown to the Kosovo leadership so they are not caught by surprise and to find the best solution if that happens," Muhaxhiri said for Kosovo Online.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is visiting Sarajevo today, and tomorrow he will arrive in Pristina, where, as announced, he will meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani.
