Muhaxhiri: It doesn’t matter who will be in charge of the Dialogue in the EU; Its direction is already set
The European Union has a very strict structure, and regarding the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, all frameworks and objectives are already set, so it truly doesn’t matter who will be the commissioner or person responsible for the dialogue, as they will follow directions that have existed before, analyst Artan Muhaxhiri told Kosovo Online.
Today, the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee is scheduled to question Kaja Kallas, the candidate for EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs. Muhaxhiri states that no individual can deviate from or create a different path in the dialogue than what is already established.
"Everything will be in the direction of respecting the agreements from Brussels and Ohrid," he adds.
In his assessment, the candidate for Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, is "a very interesting politician," and since she is from Slovenia, he believes Kos might be more familiar with the context of the dialogue.
"However, she cannot act as she wishes. She will have to operate within the rules, regulations, and all the requirements presented so far. So, I really don’t think the names in the future Brussels administration will have any significance," Muhaxhiri states.
