The issue of Kosovo always affects Albania's attitudes, but the Banjska case, from which Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic distanced himself, should not impact regional cooperation, Albanian analyst and Director of the Konica portal, Mentor Nazarko, says ahead of the Berlin Process Summit in Tirana.

Nazarko points out that Albania always aligns itself with the positions of the European Union and NATO, which means there is no change in how it observes or assesses events in the Western Balkans.

"Of course, the Kosovo issue significantly influences Albania's attitudes regarding events in the region. However, concerning the Berlin Process, since the President of Serbia distanced himself from the events in Banjska, stating that he could not stop what was happening in northern Kosovo due to the existence of groups beyond his control, I don't see any reason for this to affect regional cooperation," Nazarko said.

He notes that there have been events like the one in Banjska before.

"Despite the shock of what happened, such events have occurred in our countries before, and unfortunately, they could be repeated in the future," Nazarko concludes.
