Nenezic: Pristina does not want to reveal its intentions; the expropriation problem continues
The discussion on expropriation in Zubin Potok had not provided answers to why the land in the north of Kosovo was being confiscated and what would be built in those places, Dragutin Nenezic, the legal representative of the Serbs from Leposavic and Zubin Potok, said today and expressed his fear that the problem would take on a wider scope, because Pristina did not want to reveal its true intentions.
"I wouldn't say that we didn't learn anything; we learned that the attitude of the authorities in Pristina is extremely problematic, to use no other word on this occasion, that they obviously have no intention of revealing their true intentions and continuing not to implement the law but to give the semblance of legality to something that is a brutal illegal seizure of property to install some kind of, I would say, uninational police parastate," Nenezic told Kosovo Online after the discussion ended.
He said that it was now up to Pristina to make the final decision on expropriation, stressing that all the decisions made so far had been legally problematic.
He believes that Pristina will not give up on the construction of bases and that the problem with illegal land confiscation will continue.
"Mr. Murati said that we would see each other - what does that mean, I am not sure if they will actually go and visit the people affected by the expropriation or not, they should now make that preliminary decision, all the decisions they have made so far have been legally problematic if they continue like this, all those preliminary decisions should be overturned in court, but we'll see. I personally think that this shows, that there is no intention to give up on Pristina's further performance in this way, building bases, or whatever; I'm afraid that it will only lead to an even bigger problem," Nenezic points out.
