Last night's beating of Mladen Djosic from Donja Brnjica marked a new wave of intimidation and pressure on the Serbian people in Kosovo, a consequence of the anti-Serb policies of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, whose every statement generates new ethnically motivated incidents, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated.

They emphasize that a local Albanian attacked the Serbian young man without any provocation and that the police arrested his father, who came to his aid.

"In this multi-ethnic place near Pristina, a local Albanian physically attacked Djosic without provocation, breaking his nose. When his father tried to protect him, the police detained the father instead of immediately arresting the assailant," the statement reads.

Although surveillance cameras recorded the entire incident and the attacker was immediately identified, the police only arrested him after a few hours, as the Office for Kosovo and Metohija pointed out.

Serbs in this multi-ethnic village are outraged and fearful due to this latest incident, which has caused unrest and concern. They expect the attacker to be appropriately sanctioned.
