Orban: The idea of sanctions against Serbia is ridiculous, it is impossible

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated today that the idea of imposing sanctions on Serbia was ridiculous and also impossible.

He made those remarks to journalists ahead of the EU leaders' summit and emphasized the need to consider how Kosovo authorities behaved toward Serbs.

"Serbs have been enduring provocations in the last two years. Do not provoke the Serbs; provocation demands a response, and that reflects on stability. Without Serbia, there is no stability in the Balkans, so I definitely advocate in favor to help Serbia to stabilize the region," Orban stated.

He added that without Serbia, there was no stability in the Balkans, and that it was necessary to assist Serbia in stabilizing the region.
