Osmani with Lajcak: Some provisions of the draft of the CSM Statute may be challenging to implement

President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, in a meeting with the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, reiterated the position that the draft of the CSM Statute should be interpreted by the Constitutional Court of Kosovo and expressed concern about some provisions of that document, which, as she stated, could be challenging to implement.

Osmani emphasized Kosovo's commitment as a constructive party in the dialogue process and highlighted that the Brussels Agreement of February 27 and the Ohrid Annex of March 18 last year must be fully implemented, as stated by the office of the Kosovo President.

She also stated that the measures imposed by the European Union on Kosovo should be lifted because they were unfair and created an imbalance in the dialogue.

She emphasized that Kosovo had offered to organize new elections in the northern part of the country in accordance with the legal framework, and that was why the administrative instruction had been adopted.

Osmani expressed the expectation that the right of citizens to vote would be realized without delay and in accordance with legal procedures.

During the meeting, progress in the implementation of agreements on energy and license plates was praised as steps leading to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
