The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, emphasized that the decision to abolish the Management Team, which drafted the draft Statute of the CSM and presented it yesterday in Brussels, was unilateral and illegal and that the abolition of the team leads to the abolition of the CSM.

According to Petkovic's statement, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and ministers in his government have no right to do so.

"The mandate of the Management Team does not end with the presentation of the draft Statute of the CSM, but the Management Team has an important role in the process of forming the CSM, until the establishment of the Community," Petkovic said.

He added that it was clear that Kurti had interrupted the process of forming the CSM with a scandalous decision just ten hours after it had been finally formally launched in dialogue after ten years.

"Now it is clear to everyone that Kurti does not want to form the CSM and wants to avoid this most important obligation in every way possible," Petkovic emphasized.

He called on the EU to "urgently stop Kurti's lawlessness."

"With these forced moves, Kurti unequivocally shows that he does not want peace or dialogue. The lawlessness of Albin Kurti must be stopped by the EU because the abolition of the Management Team leads to the abolition of the CSM and thus the abolition of the dialogue process," Petkovic concluded.

Minister of Local Government Administration in Kosovo Elbert Krasniqi announced today that he had dismissed the Management Team for drafting the draft Statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
