Petkovic: Another attempt by Bislimi to attack Belgrade has failed
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that he and his team are currently on their way to Brussels, where they are scheduled to meet tomorrow with the EU Special Representative for the Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, as previously arranged.
Petkovic emphasized that yet another attempt by Besnik Bislimi to attack Belgrade had failed, referring to Bislimi’s claim that today’s trilateral meeting did not take place because the Serbian team "did not arrive in Brussels due to a delay."
"My team and I are currently en route to Brussels, where we have scheduled meetings tomorrow, which serve as preparation for trilateral talks, as confirmed today by the EU as well. Another attempt by Bislimi to attack Belgrade has failed. The Serbian side is always present in the dialogue," Petkovic wrote.
He also stressed that Belgrade would not allow Pristina to introduce issues that have no place in the dialogue.
"We know what can be the subject of the dialogue, just as we know that we will not allow Pristina to misuse the dialogue mechanism to introduce issues that absolutely do not belong in the dialogue," Petkovic said, referring to Bislimi’s statement that he had raised "a number of important topics" in his conversation with Sorensen, including the position of Albanians in the "Presevo Valley."
