Petar Petkovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, responded to claims made by an EU spokesperson that by opposing Kosovo’s membership in Interpol, Serbia is violating its obligations under the normalization process. Petkovic stated that Belgrade is the only party committed to normalization and to the agreements reached in the dialogue.

He emphasized that Pristina has been refusing for 13 years to implement the Brussels Agreement and establish the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM), while “trampling on the dialogue every day through terror against Serbs.”

“Neither Kurti nor the EU spokesperson wishes to speak about that. A word to the wise is enough,” Petkovic wrote in a post on the social network X.

Earlier today, the EU spokesperson told Koha that Serbia is violating its obligations under the Ohrid Agreement by opposing Kosovo’s membership in Interpol.

“Serbia’s progress on the path toward the EU depends on its efforts to fully implement the obligations stemming from the 2023 normalization agreement,” the EU spokesperson stated.
