Petkovic on the eviction of the Janicijevic family: Continuation of Kurti’s terror against Serbs

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that the eviction of the Janicijevic family from their apartment in North Mitrovica represents a continuation of Albin Kurti’s terror against Serbs.

"A continuation of Kurti’s terror against Serbs! The so-called Kosovo Police is moving out the Serb family Janicijevic, single mother of two, from the flat in the north Kosovska Mitrovica, which they regularly bought but was seized by an Albanian," Petkovic wrote on the social network X.

They are wrong if they think that Serbs will lose the roof over their head, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added.

Under the order of the Agency for Property Comparison and Verification, the Kosovo Police are today evicting the Janicijevic family from their apartment on Kralja Petra Street in North Mitrovica, which, as Miljojka Janicijevic said, they purchased from the Trepca company, just as many Serbs from the north did decades ago.

The Janicijevic family is not the only one facing this issue. One family was evicted yesterday, and other Serbs in northern Kosovo have also recently received calls from the Kosovo Privatization Agency to vacate apartments they received from the companies they worked for, or still work for, and that they purchased.
