The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, announced that the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities had not been a matter of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's wish, but an obligation of Pristina resulting from the Brussels Agreement.

As stated in Petkovic's statement, the fact that Kurti boasted that he was the biggest opponent of the CSM was a question for the international community, but also experts from other fields outside of politics.

"The fact that by sending his phalanges of fear to the north of Kosovo and Metohija, by mistreating Serbs in Velika Hoca and children in Leposavic, Kurti would make the Brussels Agreement senseless and run away from the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, and violently try to occupy Serbian areas, will not pass", Petkovic said.

According to his words, the Albanians in the north of Kosovo "do not lack a hair on their heads, while the Serbs are harassed day and night".

"Why to send hundreds of special forces, armed to the teeth, to the Serbian areas in the north of the province, when not a single Albanian, living in the mixed area, in the north of Kosovo is missing a hair from his head, while the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, both south and north of the Ibar, are being harassed day and night. It is clear that Pristina's explanation that Albanian police officers were sent to the north to protect Albanians is a pure lie," he emphasized.

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that the CSM was not only a wish but a need of all the Serbs in the territory of Kosovo who wanted to live on their hearths and enjoy the guaranteed rights and protection that it provided them.

"When it comes to the wishes of Albin Kurti, it is well known that his only obsession is that there are no Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija; to expel and obliterate every Serbian trace in the area of Kosovo and Metohija; to expel the state of Serbia from Kosovo and Metohija, but he repeatedly learned the lesson that new “Operation Storm” and pogroms are just a wishful thinking because President Aleksandar Vucic will never allow that," Petkovic said.
