The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, met today in Rome with Pietro Sferra Carini, an associate of the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, whom he briefed on the political and security situation in Kosovo.

Petković conveyed to Carini Serbia’s and President Aleksandar Vucic’s gratitude to the Government of Italy, led by Prime Minister Meloni, for its balanced and constructive approach to the dialogue process in Brussels and its understanding of the position of Serbia and the Serbian people.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasized that Belgrade is firmly committed to normalizing relations with Pristina and to sustainable solutions within the dialogue, but that there is no adequate interlocutor in Pristina, as Albin Kurti’s policy is based on raising tensions, undermining dialogue, and taking escalatory and unilateral actions to the detriment of the Serbian people, it was stated on Instagram.
