If Albin Kurti genuinely cared about lasting peace and normalization of relations in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the signed agreements, he would first fulfill the provisions of the Brussels Agreement signed back in 2013 and establish the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities that guarantees collective and individual rights to the Serbs, which are currently being violated and denied daily during his rule, the announcement by the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic stated.

Petkovic emphasizes that "neither Belgrade nor President Aleksandar Vucic threaten anyone; the only Balkan pyromaniac is Albin Kurti, a threat to peace in these areas, and a threat to common sense with his erratic statements". He adds that unfortunately, Kurti only thinks about aggression and terrorism.

"This was shown by his latest statement, as well as by his actions, as under his rule, Serbian children carrying Serbian Christmas tree are shot at, the Serbs are wounded on the Bistrica Bridge, Dragisa Galjak is shot in the back, or Serbian children Dara and Kristijan from Zitkovac, near Zvecan, are beaten just because they are Serbs, while numerous of our compatriots languish innocently in dungeons," it is stated.

As he assesses, Kurti undermines and tramples on peace daily with unilateral and escalatory moves.

"Therefore, let him not attribute his militant, violent, and terrorist methods to President Vucic or Belgrade because it is precisely thanks to President Vucic that we have some form of peace in Kosovo and Metohija today, which Kurti undermines and tramples on daily with his unilateral and escalatory moves, such as the decision to abolish the dinar or the closure of Serbian municipalities or healthcare institutions in the province," he states.

As he states, this is, of course, well-known to all representatives of the international community and the most powerful countries in the world who "reprimanded Kurti for this in the United Nations Security Council, after which Kurti cannot recover, so he first fabricates nonexistent assassination threats that no one believes in, and now even some nonexistent threats from Belgrade".

"We will continue to preserve peace, but also to protect our Serbs in the province," the statement concludes.
