The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated that KFOR, in its announcement, refuted the claims made by Kosovo’s caretaker Minister of Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, alleging that Belgrade had committed some sort of violation of regulations.

“Sveçla’s brazen lies were today exposed and denied by KFOR in their statement confirming that no violation of regulations by Belgrade had taken place. Sveçla must have been watching the magnificent military parade in Belgrade, which confused him so much that he began fabricating stories about Serbian drones,” Petkovic wrote on the social network X.

The Kosovo Minister of Interior in a caretaker capacity, Xhelal Sveçla, stated that Serbia had recently violated Kosovo’s airspace. He claimed that “from time to time there are unauthorized drone movements circling in Kosovo’s airspace.”

The Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, said that there had recently been cases of drone flights in northern Kosovo which, according to him, are suspected to have originated from the territory of Serbia. Hoxha emphasized that the police are in constant contact with KFOR and are monitoring the situation.

KFOR told Kosovo Online that they had not identified any drone regulation violations that could affect security across Kosovo.
