Petkovic: Kurti believes that the right of force is stronger than the force of law; the status of Kosovo and Metohija is defined by international law

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic pointed out that the fact that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti persistently tried to present the NATO bombing and the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo as an irrevocable and binding fact confirmed that he and his political like-minded people believed that the right of force was stronger than force of law.

"The only thing that determines the status of Kosovo and Metohija is international law. Kosovo and Metohija, in the international legal sense, has nothing to do with Kurti's perception of reality or the wishes of the separatists in Pristina, because neither the United Nations nor most countries of the world recognize that territory as a state, but as an autonomous province of the Republic of Serbia", Petkovic announced.

As he stated, Kurti could sell fog every day in the media of countries that, as he stated, "disregarded international law, recognized the secession of part of the territory of Serbia".

"But, apart from harming Kurti's vanity, it in no way affects the fact that Kosovo and Metohija is a part of Serbia under temporary international administration," Petkovic added.

Petkovic pointed out that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, unlike Kurti, did not base his attitude towards key interests on fantasies.

"Therefore, both Serbia and its president Aleksandar Vucic, unlike Kurti, do not base their attitude towards this key state and national issue on fantasy, but on solid and irrefutable international legal facts," Petkovic said.

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija underlined that international law existed that, as he stated, "those like Kurti cannot impose their will by force".

"International law exists so that little thugs like Albin Kurti should not be able to start fires as they please and impose their will by force, but Kurti, having lost touch with reality and thinking that he is at least someone who is very important, he persistently refuses to understand”, Petkovic stressed.
