Petkovic: Kurti is a hero in vain; he is not in charge of Vucic's visit to Kosovo and Metohija
The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, says that Albin Kurti's nervousness is escalating due to the agreement in Ohrid, from where he returned without any signature or recognition by Belgrade, but with the obligation to form the CSM so now he is vainly bragging that he can ban the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to visit the Republic of Kosovo, although he does not ask anything about it.
Petkovic asked, "Who is Kurti to determine and give permits for visits to the province to President Vucic when there are signed agreements that clearly regulate this issue"?
"In Ohrid, it was clearly agreed to implement all previously signed agreements, and therefore also the Agreement on official visits, according to which Pristina can only take note of the visit of officials from Belgrade to the area of Kosovo and Metohija, and not approve or prohibit it," Petkovic said.
He adds that statements like this by Albin Kurti best show what kind of disruptive factor Belgrade is constantly facing in the dialogue.
"It is clear that Kurti does not want dialogue and is trying in every way to avoid the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, but Kurti can fool no one. It is clear that Kurti is afraid of Vucic's visit because he knows how much it would mean to the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and Kurti goes to Serbian areas secretly and fraudulently and returns ashamed and with undone work," Petkovic said.
