Petkovic responds to Rohde: It is now clear who is behind Kurti in denying rights to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, strongly reacted to the statement by the German Ambassador Jorn Rohde, who, speaking about the Serbian community in Kosovo, said that "structures of a para-state must disappear." Petkovic stated that it is now clear who stands behind the denial of rights to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

"Ultimately, Rohde said what he has supported all along. It is now publicly confirmed who stands behind Kurti in shutting down Serbian institutions, banning the dinar, and denying rights to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija! A brutal violation of international law and UN Resolution 1244!" Petkovic wrote in a post on platform 'X'.

Speaking on the show Rubicon on Klan Kosova TV, Rohde said that "para-state structures must disappear." He stated that the existence of two currencies in the north is “an anomaly,” but also criticized the Kosovo authorities, adding that responding “in the same way as Belgrade” is not the solution.
