Petkovic: Svecla and Kurti can threaten Vucic, but they cannot stop him from helping Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, stated that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla could threaten Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, but they could not stop Vucic from helping the Serbian people in Kosovo.

"Albin Kurti's nervousness following the diplomatic slap in the face he received in Brussels is best illustrated by his dictation to his thug, Xhelal Svecla, to threaten the arrest of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. When he cannot outmaneuver or defeat Vucic in any field, he attempts to confront him with hatred and threats, because Pristina and Kurti only know hatred and violence," Petkovic said in response to Svecla's threats to arrest the President of Serbia if he visits Kosovo without permission from Pristina.

In a media statement, Petkovic stated that there was no doubt that Kurti and Svecla were the greatest obsession and opponents of the Vucic family due to their relentless fight for Serbia and the Serbian people in Kosovo.

"They first harassed his son Danilo while he was celebrating Vidovdan in Gracanica and attempted to arrest him three times, and now they are threatening Aleksandar Vucic with arrest. Such threats to the Serbian people come after Kurti's violent messages that the Serbian people and the Serb List in Kosovo and Metohija will suffer, so it is not surprising that they are now targeting Vucic, as he shares the fate of his people. This is just a continuation of Pristina's violent, threatening, anti-Serbian, hateful policy toward all things Serbian, but in vain," Petkovic stated.

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija believes that Svecla and Kurti can threaten Vucic, but they can never prevent him from helping the Serbian people in Kosovo.

"Neither their threats nor provocations will ever intimidate him, but rather, he will fight even more vigorously for the interests of his people," Petkovic emphasized.
Petkovic also noted that such messages did not contribute to calming tensions or resolving the crisis; instead, they were a continuation of provocations, inflammatory statements, and escalation provoked by Pristina on a daily basis.

"It is not a coincidence that this threat was made on the day when President Vucic will deliver a historic speech at the United Nations General Assembly and address the problems of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. No threats from Pristina can divert attention from that. Therefore, it is better for Svecla and Kurti to listen carefully to that speech and take notes instead of indulging in meaningless threats," Petkovic stated.
