Petkovic told Kurti: The Serbs want freedom for the arrested, peace, and the CSM, not fairytales
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic said today, reacting to the video that the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti posted on Facebook, that the Serbs from Kosovo expected Pristina to immediately release the arrested Serbs from the north of Kosovo, as well as to withdraw members of the Kosovo Police and imposed mayors from the Serbian municipalities, and not for the Prime Minister of Kosovo to "tell them fairytales".
"The only message that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija immediately expect from Pristina is the release of the unjustly abducted and tortured compatriots from Kurti's casemates," Petkovic said in a press release.
From Kurti, continues Petkovic, the Serbs expect an order to withdraw "Special occupative Police Forces from the north of the province" and an immediate abandonment of the policy of threats, intimidation, and harassment, which is realized through starvation, unfounded arrests, and physical violence against the Serbs.
Petkovic points out that Kurti should add to that message that he has decided to withdraw his illegitimate and imposed local government officials from the north of Kosovo, whom the Serbs, as he says, rightly recognize as coercive administrators and Gauleiters.
And after that, he concludes, everyone would welcome the punishment of those responsible for the beating and wounding of the Serbs and the message that Pristina is giving up its stubborn blocking of the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
"This is what the Serbs expect from the proven Serb-hater and anarcho-fascist Albin Kurti, not Tik Tok clips and fairytales. That would be the only acceptable evidence that Kurti is ready to change his attitude towards the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and everything else is just a show for the international community, although, I believe, it is clear to everyone that the play that Kurti himself directs and plays the main role in is nothing more than the theater of the absurd. While the bully, Kurti, waves an olive branch with one hand, behind him is holding a baton or a rifle, and it is clear to every Serb in Kosovo and Metohija that his latest video message is the height of hypocrisy and cynicism, and that it is actually not a message of peace, but another insult and threat," Petkovic said.
He assesses that it is an "insult to common sense" that Kurti tries to shift the blame for the situation in the north of Kosovo to President Aleksandar Vucic, even though he (Kurti), as an advocate of war, has reason to hate and despise the policy of preserving peace and stability in the region personified, as he says, by the president of Serbia.
"The Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are not stupid, and they don’t believe Kurti's lies and dishonest and insulting condescending, because it is plainly clear to everyone that his goal is to expel the Serbs by physical force and break the sense of loyalty to Serbia to a small number of vacillators in the north of the province. The peak of dishonor in Kurti's latest propaganda message is the mention of Serbian monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija as if they were all lobotomized and did not remember that it was Kurti's ideology of hatred that destroyed more than 150 churches and monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija and that Kurti and his extremists refuse to return the stolen land to the Visoki Decani Monastery," Petkovic says.
