Jadranka Milenkovic, the wife of the arrested Serb from Gracanica, Dragisa Milenkovic, said that during the arrest of her husband, police inspectors had said that he was suspected of war crimes against Albanians, whom he had allegedly mistreated while working as a guard in the prison in Lipljan.
She was unable to give detailed statements to the media, because she fell ill due to the shock, after which she was hospitalized, but she briefly conveyed to the gathered journalists the words of the inspector that, if Milenkovic's innocence was proven, he would be released.
The Milenkovic family was visited today by the president of the Provisional Authority of Pristina, Novak Zivic, and the president of the Provisional Authority of Lipljan, Milan Joksimovic.
Dragisa Milenkovic was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. by members of the Kosovo Police's special crime department.
