Rama confirmed the visit to Pristina despite Kurti's refusal to meet

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed that he was coming to Pristina tomorrow, despite the fact that there would be no meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti because Kurti had refused to meet with him unless there was a joint session of the governments of Kosovo and Albania.

After the meeting of the Albanian government today, Rama did not want to comment on Kurti's refusal.

"I'm only here because of the government's decision on medical students. As for coming to Pristina and the whole tour, I will speak when there is time for it, which is tomorrow in Pristina," he said.

Journalists also asked Rama about his statement about the Open Balkan from a few days ago.

"You may think this is very important, but I am here to talk only about the medical students," Rama replied.

Rama is staying in Kosovo tomorrow, as announced in the Albanian media, as part of his Balkan tour and preparations for the next summit of the Berlin Process, which will be held in October in Tirana.

By the way, the joint meeting of the governments of Kosovo and Albania, which was supposed to be held on June 14 in Djakovica, was canceled at the last minute because Rama insisted that, in the conditions of deteriorating relations between Kosovo and the entire Euro-Atlantic community, a meeting should first be held in a narrower format (prime ministers and ministers of foreign affairs and defense), which Kurti did not accept.
