RTK: Maqedonci replaces Mehaj as Minister of Defense

The current Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, will be replaced by Colonel of the Kosovo Security Force, Ejup Maqedonci, as reported by RTK.

That media outlet reports that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti has accepted Mehaj's resignation.

Sources from RTK indicate that it is still unknown whether Mehaj will assume another role in Kosovo's institutions or return to Norway, where he previously lived and worked.

The Demokracia portal previously reported that Mehaj was resigning due to his dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Albin Kurti's approach toward international partners, while RTK stated that Mehaj was leaving the ministerial position for family reasons.
