Democratic League of Kosovo MP Driton Selmanaj states that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kuriti needs "guardian enemies" to survive in politics, which, he claims, he makes up himself.

"To hide government affairs, he made the media 'enemies'. In order to hide the failure in education, his "enemy" is the United Education Union. In order to hide the failure in healthcare, he makes 'enemies' of doctors. In order to hide the failure in the judiciary, prosecutors and judges are - 'enemies'. In order to hide the failure in the economy, 'enemies' are made of companies. In order to hide the failure in the infrastructure, the past governments are their 'enemies'. In order to hide the failure in passing quality laws, they made an 'enemy' out of the Constitutional Court. In order to hide the failure in dialogue and diplomacy, mediators and the entire international community are 'enemies'," Selmanaj said on Facebook.

He claims that Kurti cannot rule without these "imaginary enemies".

"And one day, when the citizens of Kosovo will ask him to account for them, he will be hostile towards his own citizens and voters. And that day, I am convinced, is approaching," Seljmanaj pointed out, adding that "ignorance and failure cannot be hidden".

"Kosovo needs development and prosperity in all fields, and paranoid behavior and inventing enemies," concluded Selmanaj.
