Serb arrested in North Mitrovica for alleged war crimes in Kosovo

A person has been arrested in North Mitrovica in the late morning hours in connection with a war crime committed in Kosovo, Veton Elshani, Deputy Commander for the North Region, confirmed to Kosovo Online.

According to Elshani, police units from the northern region did not participate in the operation.

"What I can confirm is that one person was arrested today in North Mitrovica. The operation was carried out by the War Crimes Department from Pristina, and we were only informed about the action. Therefore, we currently do not have further information about the person who was arrested," Elshani said in a brief statement.

As Kosovo Online has learned, the person in question is a Serb with the initials M. Dj.
