The Serb List: At least two Serbs were killed after surrendering; we will demand an investigation
The Serb List expressed today, on behalf of the entire Serbian community in Kosovo, the deepest condolences to the families of the deceased Serbs and the Albanian Kosovo police officer in yesterday's tragic event in the village of Banjska. They also announced that they would demand an investigation as at least two Serbs had been cold-bloodedly killed after surrendering.
The Serb List states that they will seek an investigation into the killing of at least two Serbs who were cold-bloodedly killed despite surrendering.
„We ask the international community why EULEX did not participate in the operation but only Kurti's police. We call on everyone to maintain peace and restraint because it is necessary to return peace to our streets as soon as possible, and in this sense, we urgently need KFOR and EULEX to deploy to the north and prevent further escalation of the situation and political abuse of this tragic event," the Serb List states.
They also note that they have been warning for over a year that the regime in Pristina is pressuring Serbs and escalating the situation daily through provocations to elicit a reaction from the people.
"Innumerable times we asked KFOR to deploy its forces and act preventively, we asked the international community to restrain Kurti, we always called for peace... but in vain. Unfortunately, what Kurti wished for happened," the statement of the Serb List concludess.
