Serb List with Reiffenstuel: Pristina must end unilateral actions, Police acting as a punitive expedition against Serbs

The President of the Serb List, Dr. Zlatan Elek, and Vice President Igor Simic met today with a delegation from the German Federal Foreign Office, led by the Head of the Western Balkans Division, Michael Reiffenstuel, in the presence of the German Ambassador in Pristina, Jorn Rohde.

According to the statement, the meeting addressed numerous problems faced by the Serbian people in Kosovo, including the urgent need to immediately cease the unilateral actions of Pristina’s provisional institutions, halt politically motivated proceedings and arbitrary arrests of Serbs, end violations of human rights and freedoms, and, above all, urgently establish the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities (CSM) in accordance with signed agreements, while consistently honoring all obligations undertaken in the dialogue.

The discussion particularly emphasized that the police are acting as a “punitive expedition” against Serbs, and that yesterday’s incident in the village of Vuca—when police officers used firearms without any justification—confirms that the abuse of authority against Serbs has become a regular occurrence.

Representatives of the Serb List stressed that ending pressure and discrimination against the Serbian people is crucial for stability and peace, and that outstanding issues must be resolved exclusively through dialogue and in accordance with internationally undertaken obligations.
